Kindergarten
At CCA, we believe that these early years of a child’s education build the foundation for the rest of their educational and adult lives. This foundation is not only academic, but also social, physical, emotional, and spiritual. Teachers create a safe and nurturing environment where children are encouraged and challenged to be independent thinkers and lifelong learners. We strive to cultivate in each child a joy of learning that will last a lifetime. Our Kindergarten classes continue to build on the foundation of CCA and teaches concepts and skills in light of a Biblical worldview.
Kindergarten has two options - students may stay for the half day option until 12pm or for the full day option ending at 2:30pm. The majority of curriculum is completed by 12:00 pm each day. For those children who attend the full day program, the afternoon activities consist of additional activities in social studies and science, lunch, nap, and playtime. All Kindergarten students must be five years old BEFORE September 1. The daily schedule includes phonics, reading, math (numbers, counting, coins, etc.), science, and Bible – all with Biblically-integrated curriculum. The student-teacher ratio is no more than 12:1 in our kindergarten classes.
